Once again, I don’t belong to the Free Patriotic Movement, and I don’t support Michael Aoun, however I can’t but admire their campaign for the upcoming elections in Lebanon.
Here are the newest billboards I encountered on my way to work:
Wether you support FPM or not, you can’t but like them! It’s clear they’re putting effort into their campaign and it’s working!
On the ther hand, the Lebanese Forces latest ad was silly, even the LFers themselves are admitting it.
Leaving the roads and moving to Facebook You can find some hilarious designs like these two!
Showing Fouad El-Sanioura in Bahia Hariri’s veil, making fun of the Future Movement slogan “Zay ma hiyyeh” (As it is).
With that I end my “visual” post for today! Have a NICE LONG weekend!! 😀
Effort? What effort? They rip off an election slogan from the states while promising to do what, clear the path for a re-institution of Syrian dominion over the country? Haha, real change, its like Obama promising change and moving Guantanamo from Cuba to Haiti. Good one.
Hey, if you really want to laugh look at the FPM and its supporters celebrating the release of the 4 Generals who had them beaten, imprisoned, and [in the case of those the FPM leader has chosen to forget] shipped off to Syria. Now that’s comedy!!
I have not seen more hatred manifest towards the FPM than in the recent months. It’s like all M14-ers are going mad lol
Back to your post, I agree with you. Excellent campaign. And what’s the crime in using the ‘change’ slogan? I think it’s all cool. Nothing wrong with a bit of inspiration. My favorite was ‘Zay Bahiya” lol
Please keep us updated with all these new ads. I am enjoying it tremendously 😉
I too also sense an increased hatred to the FPM.
Hatred stems from frustration. Hatred is the last emotional prototype one reaches when they cannot overcome or manage their frustration. To take a line from one of the freed generals this week; “hatred is for the weak”.
But taking a holistic view one can sense fear, the problem with Lebanon and most developing nations is that a shift of political power is viewed as dangerous; this is because there is fear the country will begin to head in a certain direction and then be settled there for good.
Whilst I personally don’t think much will change in the elections, in theory there could be a large shift in power. One thing that is disappointing is that everyone is talking about winning not reconciliation. Why does no-one pronounce “may the best man/woman win”, there is zero respect between the opposing parties.
Anyway, creativity is one thing the Lebanese are renowned for and it is great to see it in the form of marketing. I have a fascination with billboards and regardless of ones political slant these billboards are the cream of the crop, round of applause to the FPM marketing team.
Yes, the ads they’ve made are genius.
And I never thought I would see the day when I’m actually defending FPM, but what slogan did they actually rip off? Haha.
@Blacksmith Jade
I really don’t care about the FPM political agenda, even if their ally is the devil himself.
I believe you are being too biased here, because you’re denying all the effort the’re putting into their advertisement campaign…
@ posh
I’m keeping my camera ready!
@Sefir Tmeneh
I agree!
the last one is a bit disturbing in that again they have again demonstrated a misogynistic attitude for which they were critisized in their “be beautiful and vote” posters.
Here they are insinuating that the future movement is in the “female”, and therefore to them, weaker position.
It must uncomfortable being a female Aoun supporter these days.
Nona,
sperms and ova work like this. The analogy does not reflect anything that is not within biology.
Regardless, all these bad ideas are in your mind. How about you have a word or two with your mind?
I know many FPM female supporters. They are very proud.
@posh,
there is no “bad” in biology, the ovum actually carries more genetic information to the child than the sperm, this is not what my comment was about.
The comment was that the Tyaar add-makers didn’t put the orange colour on the ovum, they put it what they considered the losing position, and hence TO THEM the ovum is the “losing” position.
Coupled with the previous advertising, there seems to be a pattern developing here regarding their idea of women, which I find rather distasteful and disrespectful towards me as a female.
Feel free to think otherwise, but I think it is slightly naive of you to accept this at face value.
ana i liked inno the guy who has a remote control in his hand, is smiling…
and as for the last one, taba3 el “we are coming” i can only say a big LMAO!
oh we might now have little babies born to mamie Future and Daddy FPM! eh fitna bil 7et 3a the new generation :p
Even if Satan himself comes to the new government, have no fear.
I fear nothing but fear itself – Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Re-read it and think of 2006 & 2008.
