Here’s how Dbayeh’s Waterfront City should look like in a few years from now.
According to this article in The Daily Star, the project will be complete in 4 phases over a period of 15 years (too much??), with the first phase set to be complete with 7 buildings in 2 years from now.
I just wish this project and the alike outside Beirut would consider creating more office spaces to take some load off the suffocating areas in Beirut such as Hamra, Achrafiyeh, and downtown.
Regarding the office spaces, I wish it would too…Another thing I’m worried about is the fact that the dbayeh road currently alleviates so much of the traffic from the highway. When this project gets into motion, there’s going to be a huge traffic problem that I have a feeling no one is anticipating..
aham shi ya3mlo parking!
I hear they are releasing offices this April. In total they are saying there will be 12 buildings in a campus style. Hope there is loads of parking.
Well, it would be definitely uber-stupid if they don’t have plans to create lot of parking spaces!
Interesting project: although few questions
a- what happened to the beach, and who own it?
b- who sold the properties and who collected the money
c- is this going to be copy cat of Dubai,, which brings the real estate cost so high that average lebaneese cannot afford.. and does all the profit goes directly to the devoleper that can drain the cash flow from the country.. and we are looking for another AIG that happens in U.S crash the real estate market…
d- more to traffic; it will be good Idea to see ferry goes to beirut year round.
