What’s the real use of a drainage system if it is unable to remove water when it heavily rains? Or is it designed in Lebanon to just accommodate the water that comes out of Im Salim’s house lama toshtof bayta?
To my bad luck I was on the road in Tarik El-Jadida when it was heavily raining in Beirut today, I’ll just leave the photos to speak about how bad the situation was there.
I was driving yesterday at 6pm i think and it was raining heavily, i re-routed by road shi 4 times within (3 kilometers bass) because I saw river-like roads! amtin ra7 y7ello 3al mishkle el zift! or the non-zift!
As long as we are in this part of the world,
As long as we believe that god created Lebanon his paradise on earth,
As long as we consider that Lebanon is the Cedar Country,
As long as we consider ourselves as Phoenician and not Arab,
As long as we are living in this country that contains the 18 religions,
As long as whatever will happen we will have a new independence day in the calendar,
As long as we think as we believe that we are independent,
And as long as we are following and we believing in the existing Lebanese politicians,
So 60 sini 3layna w 3ala yalli baddo yiji ba3edna…
Thank you and have a nice, enjoyable, memorable and unforgettable Winter.
Came home today to find my underground building parking lot flooded. The think was that it just wasn’t only water – but it was mixed with sewage! I guess Dubai isn’t better.
@Jad Aoun
Dear Jad, I am living in Dubai since more than 7 years and for the last 2 years we are experiencing heavy rain, but no wonder why it is flooding, just because they used to have rain for 2 – 3 days per year and they are not ready for the heavy ones because of the country nature…
The whole yesterday and today it was nonstop raining and you can enjoy with your Yacht in Shaikh Zayed Road, by the way last year we had one holiday in January because of the heavy rain, and today Ziad Rahbany Concert in Abu Dhabi tonight was postponed till further notice because of the rainy days since it should be done in an open area…
In Lebanon it is totally different but remain unchanged since the people still have to suffer every year from the heavy rain because of some lazy responsible…
Thank you.
