Burger Nation Hamra

I finally got to try the burger joint everyone has been buzzing about for a while now, “Burger Nation” located at end of Hamra street.

The menu is very straight forwards and offers either their selections of burgers or do-it-yourself, and while explaining about the burgers you can’t but notice how much the waiters emphasize on the fact that their patty is made of grass-fed Angus beef that’s imported from Australia.

Farah and I shared two burgers, the Nation’s Pride and the Swiss & Mushroom both 4oz and medium well, and I have to admit the patty is among the best in town, I mean you can easily feel the difference between others and what Burger Nation offers.

However, the sauces and toppings definitely need an enhancement, at least for the Nation’s Pride. With that holy beef patty, I was expecting a much better taste. And don’t get me wrong here, I’m not saying it tasted bad, actually I’m planning to go there again to try their 6oz burgers, but I’m pretty sure BN can do better with the toppings.

Would I recommend you to go there? Yes, and do try their belgian fries.

    i tried both, BURGER NATION and Classic BURGER, i prefer Classic Burger cz i found the waiter @ BN to be very rude, and i’m not sure about : “their patty is made of grass-fed Angus beef that’s imported from Australia.”

    Fara2it ma3ak 3a shway, or else we would’ve met 🙂 I went there for Iftar two days ago, I was impressed with how the small staff was very efficiently able to keep up with the large amount of orders. BN ana shhedte majrou7a fi it’s one of my favorites 😀

    @Crouhana
    I can’t be sure of that as well, but I’m sure their patty did taste different than any other place.
    And regarding their staff being rude, we got a blonde waitress who was very helpful…
    Was it one of their bad days when you went there? 😛

    @Rabih
    Actually I went there more than a week ago, on the last day before Ramadan, I wanted to have a burger as a last meal before fasting! 😀

    @Rami i am with you about the meat taste is different but i am with @Crouhana about the waitress being rude !! she didn’t smile or act friendly at all as if someone slapped her on the face before she comes to work… i felt like she was saying: eat that grass-fed Angus beef or i will feed you to the cows 😛

    @Lucy haha, i feel that about her too, but the dark skinned guy seems a bit friendlier. At first, i felt he was sha2fi wa7di, but later on i felt he is not that bad.
    i havent tasted the beef since i dont eat red meats, but the chicken is fine. and i tried the chicken wings (i still prefer those from Lord of the Wings)

    The Belgian fries are just amazing, don’t you agree?

    @Omar itani
    I didn’t like their burgers when I went there last year: http://www.plus961.com/2011/02/the-quest-for-the-best-burger-in-lebanon-%e2%80%93-brgr-co/
    Still, I guess I’ll be giving it another try because of all the positive feedback I keep hearing… something must have gone wrong during my visit maybe…
