This was spotted at Inglot in Hamra main street. I wonder what other products may go halal next!
Turned out this Inglot nail polish, unlike other brands, allows water to permeate to the nail itself to make Woudou’ valid, since one of Woudou’ requirements is for water to reach certain body parts including nails.
This photo by Marwan Tahtah was taken in Roumieh prison and made it to the cove page of Al-khbar’s issue for today. If only these muscles were put to good use to stop the chaos in Roumieh!
Check this article on how the prison is currently more like a command centers for some criminals on the run due to the lack of control over the Islamist prisoners.
I’m a Muslim myself but never knew civil marriage is regarded that bad until I heard what Mufti Rashid Kabbani had to say about it today.
βEvery Muslim official, whether a deputy or a minister, who supports the legalization of civil marriage, even if it is optional, is an apostate and outside the Islamic religion,β Qabbani said in a religious edict, or fatwa.
β[Such officials] would not be washed, would not be wrapped in a [burial] shroud, would not have prayers for their soul in line with Islamic rules, and would not be buried in a Muslim cemetery,β Qabbani added. Source
Why the hell can’t religious figures accept that civil marriage becomes optional in Lebanon just like alcohol is?!
You can shower me with your comments about the lady in niqab being free to celebrate and dance the way she pleases at the beginning of this video, but I’ll still find her funny!
Update:
It turned out the woman is actually mentally challenged. My cousin who lives in Tripoli confirmed it to me and claimed she’s from an area there called “Abou Samra”. You can also read Azmi’s input on the matter in the comments section.
Eid El-Adha is the time for Muslims to recall prophet Abraham’s obedience to god in his willingness to sacrifice his own son Ismail, before god intervened and gave him a ram to sacrifice instead. And so the act of sacrificing an animal later became a ritual for Muslims.
That’s when it becomes normal to see sheep stored at very unusual places in Beirut, like rooftops for example.
… and when it also becomes very normal to see butchers slaughtering sheep in the streets.
Ramadan Kareem to all the readers! π
